FASTGENR is a high-performance, JCL-transparent replacement for IEBGENER, providing ultra high-speed copy of sequential datasets and members of partitioned datasets. FASTGENR is a member of the FAST PACK, and can be licensed individually or as part of the FAST PACK family of products. FASTGENR is 50% to 95% faster than IEBGENER. The larger the dataset, the larger the savings. FASTGENR improves system performance and reduces resource consumption. FASTGENR offers real dollar savings in CPU time, EXCPs and Elapsed time. JCL-transparent and self-contained, FASTGENR requires no changes either to IEBGENER or to your installation's current operating environment.
