Technical Features of PDSFAST Data Center Management Software

PDSFAST data center management software can compress, copy, unload, and reload PDS datasets 10 to 100 times faster than IEBCOPY, with no JCL changes required. PDSFAST performs high-speed copy and compress operations under ISPF or TSO. This partitioned dataset software automatically performs a compress when space is needed and increases the number of directory blocks when one or more are required. PDSFAST enhances Library Recovery by copying and compressing CICS, IMS, DB2, and other database libraries in a fraction of the time required by other PDS utilities. PDSFAST software reduces elapsed time for a copy or compress of a screen or panel library from 40 minutes to under 1 minute.
